William Chavez is a Maryland employment and civil rights lawyer. Will practices in every Maryland State Circuit and District Court, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
Will is the Senior Attorney at the Employment Law Center of Maryland (ELC). Will offers bilingual consultations, case evaluations, and legal representation to any Maryland employee in need of employment law representation. Will takes pride in bringing the ELC's affordable and excellent employment representation. Will enjoys overseeing cases involving novel or complex issues of law.
Before joining ELC, Will held the position of Judicial Law Clerk to the Sixth District Court of Maryland for Montgomery County and was a Senior Litigation Law Clerk at the Employment Law Group, P.C., one of the nation's premier employment law firms, where he worked on executive contract negotiations, matters before federal administrative agencies, and several cases litigated in Federal and State Courts across the United States.
Will is an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA), the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association. Will is a first-generation attorney of Salvadoran descent, born in San Fernando, California, and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. Will graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, and received his law degree from American University, Washington College of Law in Washington D.C.
Will is a music enthusiast and a cat dad. Away from work, Will enjoys spending time outdoors, watching live music performances, and spending time with his family.
